An experiment run over the past three years using neutrinos has traveled faster than light via CERN.

Physics just had the speed record broken. They went faster than light.

But what does this mean? Does it mean time travel, does it mean traveling faster than light?

Was it an error in the calculation of the speed?

I just finished watching "The Man in the High Castle" on Amazon Prime based on a book by Philip K. Dick. It was a good series and they are thinking of making more episodes. It ia alternate history where the USA lost WWII to Germany and Japan and got taken over after DC was nuked by Nazis.

One of the characters can travel to parallel universes and get film reels, which go to the Man in the High Castle. But you'll never guess who is who.

It was a bad cable (3.00 / 2) (#1)

not so much a miscalculation but a bad measurement due to faulty equipment.

The scientists never made the claim that they had observed superluminal velocity, rather they published their data in hopes that someone could help them find what was wrong.

The NAZIs were indeed working on the bomb, however they did not have the capacity to refine uranium.  You can make plutonium from unrefined uranium in a heavy water reactor, but some norwegian commandos took out the NAZI heavy water plant.

After the war a partially finished heavy water reactor was discovered, buried deeply underground.

Faggot scientists throw out the data because social pressure.
