Koch brothers pol for hire is State District Attorney Greg Abbott. He has a spine of steel, literally. His spine is actually constructed from steel. He is also only the second Republican State DA since after the Civil fucking war.
Now as red as Texas is Greg would normally have it in the bag. But Republicans have been really pissing off Hispanics lately over that kid thing. So if enough them actually get agitated to vote then Wendy might be Governor.
On the other hand she has been turning a lot of people off with her RAPE CULTURE Ad.
Why this matters is that if Wendy becomes Governor then big changes are in store for Texas. Changes that will likely piss off a lot of rich white conservatives. Unlike many states our Governor actually has a lot of power. If Abbott becomes Governor then very little will change.
Perry has been Governor since 2000 when GWBush went to Washington. Overall he hasn't been a real bad governor. Well as long as you're not poor, elderly, or disabled. Especially if you aren't of the African persuasion. One thing is he's pretty stupid and that whole SECEDE shit really, wtf dude? But otherwise he's been mostly harmless.
