This reminds me of that time when a buddy of mine fell asleep (while "poor recollections" drunk) smack in the middle of the main trail of a big yellow ants' underground nest. He got bitten on the arse well over 200 times, which was a bit of a wonder given that he was wearing jeans at the time.

So logically either the ants came in through his fly or between the waistband, or they patiently crawled up his trouser legs to sink their venomous mandibles into the buttocks specifically, and then back out again.
