On my previous diary entry, two members have been discussing the merits of procreating with one' sown daughter to propagate the species in a post-apocalyptic world. Personally, I wouldn't do it. Not only would I never commit such a reprehensible act, but why must we propagate the species anyway? Why couldn't we just embrace extinction? Would I really want to bring children into a dystopian world. I don't even want to bring children into this world!
You may argue that my genes would compel me to have sex with my daughter, but I disagree. We humans are not merely chemical reactions set in motion by evolution millions of years ago. We can act self-destructively: Why else would people commit suicide, martyr themselves or choose homosexual lifestyles in oppressive nations? Those actions cannot be explained by genetics. Sorry, atheists. We have free wills just as the Christians say.
No, I would not have sex with my daughter even if it meant the end of humanity. Humanity's prolonging would not be worth it.
