	This is something that has become so frequently noticeable recently that I simply feel I must comment on it: Non-ironic mustaches.  This is a bizarre and disturbing tend, which seems to be cropping up a lot lately among American young adult males, perhaps in other countries too.  It's like the 70s-early 80s again. And you what else is a coincidental trend these days?  Unemployment.   Hmm, interesting.

Now granted, some guys can truly pull it off, like the "My Name Is Earl" guy, but they're really in an extreme minority.  Though speaking of minorities, I guess black dudes can sport it pretty well without getting much flack.  Oh well, nobody said life was fair. Now ironic hipster mustaches are not without their humor value, and occasionally actually can look somewhat cool, so I'm certainly not knocking them either.  And if you choose to believe the pro-stache propaganda, apparently chicks dig them too.  But what in blue blazes is going on when people well and truly want to start looking like their alcoholic bum fathers from decades past?  I think this is a serious psychological phenomenon that needs exploring. Then again there are always the serious counterexamples to that.   Did I mention about life not being fair?
