Software

root@debian:/usr/src/libpcap-1.2.1# apt-get install libpcap0.8-dev
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package libpcap0.8-dev is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
  libpcap0.8

E: Package 'libpcap0.8-dev' has no installation candidate

Don't use Testing if you don't understand what Testing is. Add Sid to your sources.list and install with apt-get -t sid install libpcap0.8-dev.
