K5 'contributor' The Writer cited by Maggie Koerth-Baker as most sensible explanation of the Banach-Tarsky paradox

Good to see that K5's google crack is still working, but I hope this doesn't trigger a flood of iFag hipsters on the site. I notice that Maggie hasn't linked to his article, presumably because of the potential for fluffy-bunny collateral damage as a torrent of boingboing readers collide with a wave of scat concealed carry porn internet defence league Ron Paul aids coming the other way.
Hope you guys all had a good New Year. I got shot in the neck with a firework, which I'm pretty pumped about.
Should probably look up The Writer's article now. I'm guessing it's from about 2003. Can't really be arsed.

Some anonymous BoingBoing troll cites an K5 article for proof of a hard to prove paradox. I think Maggie used to be a user here and changed his/her name for BoingBoing.

You basically take half the mass to recreate the object twice. The Banach-Tarsky Paradox is hogwash until they figure out the mass of the Higgs-Boson anyway. That is because the paradox says the volume is doubled so you'd need some way to double the volume and double the mass into two identical balls. If you can figure out the mass of the Higgs-Boson you can figure out a way to duplicate the mass by creating matter from energy stored in the ball. Until we have such an equation it is impossible to solve.

But creating two balls the same size of half the mass or volume of the original each does not fix the paradox, sorry "The Writer". That was a clever troll, but utterly stupid and non-scientific.

While I do understand that it's not rocket science to copy-and-paste a single word into the address bar of one's browser, few would ever bother.

My guess is that she linked neither The Writer's discussion on the paradox, nor our homepage, because she had a look at our homepage as well as the ghetto, to have found our once gentrified neighborhood having become home to winos, crack whores, and not just ladies of the evening, but the evening's gentlement as well.
