That goths take their subculture so seriously wouldn't bother me if they weren't so uptight about it. Family Guy is a show that mocks Christians quite often, but that doesn't the cool Christians at my church from watching it. Why? Because we have senses of humor and know that even if the joke is particularly offensive, that we could just change the channel and not get all butt-hurt over it.
Goths, on the other hand, respond to any negative depiction or comment against them, whether it's an Ikea ad or a Goth Talk skit with PURE OUTRAGE.
This reminds me of another group of people who also enjoy to dress in funny costumes. They too take themselves too seriously as seen when they complained to FOX about a fake Superbowl commercial in a Simpsons episode. I'm talking about the Catholic Church, of course. I never thought I'd say it, but Goths are as silly and uptight as the Catholic Church, which leads me to a poll.
