The fallacy of believing some women get hotter as they age

I had a conversation about aging women with one of my bitches at the local Irish pub last weekend. She's 28 I believe - yeah, too old for me but she's a fun girl - so it's a matter close to her heart, and her starting wrinkles.

I've always claimed that women peak sometime between the ages of 20 and 25. At that age they've lost most of the babyfat but haven't started wrinkling or sagging. I don't know a single exception to the rule.

Nevertheless, I'm sure all of us know some women who look hotter in their early thirties than when they were ten years younger. A prime example known to all of us is Angelina Jolie: 20s vs now.  I even agreed with my bitch that yes, some women do look better on the surface when they are older. I didn't have the heart to complete that thought, but I will do so for the benefit of the K5 community:

The reason why this is because older women know how to make themselves up better than younger ones. They know to accentuate their good features while drawing attention away from the bad. Also, they know which haircut fits their face better (Ms Jolie looks like a fucking mop in that early picture).

Sure, older women are generally more confident, know what they want, etc. which all are part of being an attractive woman. But when you take away the makeup all you have is an older version of the woman that was there years earlier. She will have wrinkles and her skin will not be nearly as supple as her younger self - unless she's a genetic freak or Asian.

Even if there is an exception to this rule there's no reason to go for older women: this exception was hot even when she was younger and whoever was dating her at the time had more years with hotness than you will have if you start dating her now.

So, all alpha males do yourself a favor: leave the 25+ women for those who can't afford - economically, sexually and evolutionally - the younger ones.

Are we talking just physical attractiveness? If so, perhaps so. But if you also care about ever talking to the person in question, dating a college woman might not be the best choice, unless you also happen to be in college.

beerholder, whatever.

"Hotness" is much, much more than just t&a. There are women that I know that go through radical changes in "hotness" as the initial conversation or relationship goes on. One specific example was a woman I went to grad school with. She's only somewhat attractive physically, but her personality and intelligence put her over the top.

But then, by your standards I'm probably old, so that most likely means nothing to you.

There is a reason for everything. Sometimes, that reason just sucks.

Of course, if looks were the only thing (3.00 / 2) (#4)

You prove beyond reasonable doubt that your concept of a woman is nothing but a body, a vessel for your seed, fulfillment of your mechanical needs and kitchen aid.

Congratulations, this time you made it crystal clear.

According to the Mayo Clinic, a woman's fertility peaks between the ages of 20 and 24.

It's just your genes wanting to make it another generation. Clever, eh?

but 25-35 year olds are often equally attractive plus more confident, better wardrobes, more money, better drugs, in all, much more fun.

...is that MMM is very, very gay.

In all seriousness, why don't you just stick with men for teh sex and adopt?  You might be happier.  You clearly don't actually like women, and it's suspect as to whether you are actually attracted to them for more than their reproductive utility.  Your insistence on utter perfection indicates that you have a hard time finding normal females sexually arousing.  So just give it up and admit who you are and stop overcompensating.  You can fulfill your genetic imperative with a test tube and some willing lesbians, for that matter.  Think about it.

So who here has wrinkles yet? (none / 0) (#36)
