Fat, ignorant people.

Yup, another advertisement in "Newsweek". As you might remember if you have a reaaaally good memory, I did a story on the Centre for Consumer Freedom's dubious foundations a month or so ago.

Their new ad is sort of poking fun at the ignorant guy who didn't realise that fast food was making him fat. It simply says, "Did you hear the one about the fat guy suing the restaurantss? It's no joke. He claims the food was too cheap so he ate too much! Learn more about the erosion of personal responsibility and common sense. Go to: ConsumerFreedom.org" I guess it was supposed to be humourous. Just a quick poll...

I think the message here is that this guy has an obvious lack of the ability to grasp the obvious. You'd think somewhere in all those years he would have heard on TV or read somewhere that fatty foods are not good for you. I know that; I'm overweight; but I'm not suing. Everything I've eaten is my responsibility.

I bookmarked the site and will be reading it regularly. Thanks for letting me know about it, I don't read "Liberalpropogandaweek", so I hadn't seen the ad.

BTW, its consumerfreedom.com, not .org.

These guys are the masters of illogic. Let's see how it goes:

1. Guy sues fast food for "making him fat".
2. Guy is widely ridiculed again and again on national TV, radio, and newspapers. Ridicule is accompanied by horror and shock about the demise of personal responsibility and consumer freedom.
3. Because the guy sued, "the erosion of personal responsibility and common sense" is a huge problem. But the ridicule does not indicate anything.

In conclusion, the Powerpuff Girls are a reactionary, pseudo-feminist enterprise.
